Cracked iPhone screens are common and the company might perform the repair for free or for a small charge. Self-repair could void your warranty or have other repercussions. You can use a cyanoacrylate, which is a chemical compound that forms a strong, rigid thermoplastic on exposure to air, to stop a crack on your iPhone screen from spreading. Cyanoacrylates are readily commercially available as “Superglue” or nail glue, but the repair is likely to be messy, unsightly and temporary.\

Drop a small amount of cyanoacrylate or glue onto the crack. A drop or two should be enough for a small crack. Tilt the phone up and down to allow the cyanoacrylate to penetrate the cracked area.

Wipe away any access with the tissues immediately, before it gets a chance to dry. Do not press your fingers or implements into the glue, as cyanoacrylate-based adhesives are notoriously quick-drying and form very strong bonds.

Allow the cyanoacrylate or glue to dry completely before attempting to touch the screen. If the crack has a small gap, you might need to press the edges of the crack together while the glue is tacky but not dry and apply pressure until the glue has dried completely.
